The two experts Renate Müller-Wollermann and Franziska Plümmer
are answering the question of the audience after the film “Hooligan
Sparrow”.
Franziska Plümmer is a research associate PhD student in sinology
and Korean studies at Tübingen’s university.
Renate Müller-Wollermann is a honorary employee at Amnesty
International and serves as a coordinator for work relating to Taiwan, Japan and
Mongolia.
The film “Hoolingan Sparrow” was shown in cooperation with
the Amnesty International group from the University of Tübingen. The
group also had an information stand at the cinema foyer.
At the thematic evening “Women’s organisations in Rojava” film
clips dealing with the issues of domestic violence and child marriage from
the film collective “Komina Films” were shown.
Spokesperson Meike Nack talked about the social structure and gender equality
in the self-governed society in the Kurdish area of northern Syria and
their challenges.
Meike Nack works for the women’s-initiative “WJAR – Foundation
for Free Women in Rojava” and is a European speaker.
After the presentation, open questions were discussed in the cozy atmosphere
of Club Voltaire...
...and the guests had the opportunity to see the exhibition “Rojava - spring
of the women”.
